Gustavo has acquired pro-quality skills from playing and coaching on the ATP tour at the Futures level. He has had the privilege of playing in college on a tennis scholarship at the NCAA-II level on behalf of Dowling College in New York. Highest ranking: 7th in the country (2005 NCAA-II singles ranking). Gustavo has 8 years of coaching experience and has been certified by the United States Professional Tennis Association since 2006. His forte is coaching high competition players toward their personal goals. One of his ultimate tennis goals is to accompany a player to raise the champion's trophy at a Grand Slam tournament.
